B-17 CYLINDER SCULPTURE
The B-17 "Flying Fortress" is powered by four Wright "Cyclone 9", R-1820 Radial Engines. Each supercharged engine has nine cylinders for a total of 1,820 cu inches, producing over 1,400 horsepower. The engine is a masterpiece of engineering design incorporating Hemispherical combustion chambers (now known as a Hemi Head), roller cam followers, roller bearing rocker arms, etc. Just think-this design dates from the 1930s!

We have obtained a limited number of artifacts from specific aircraft. They are cleaned, repainted and presented to show their beautiful sculptural form. The base mount includes Data Plates of the aircraft and engine specs.
Base is 12" wide X 15" deep; sculpture is 20" high.
Price: $2,500
